Is this made by the same company that made the "Bandit II"?

It was definitely not a Formula hood. It looked like a base firebird hood with a scoop tacked on to it.

Shame it has the "winking" headlight. I see that a lot in Hawai'i. Are headlight servo-motors hard to do or are people just too lazy to bother?

Wasn't there something called a Pro Am produced like in '88 or something? Maybe that's what it is...

A few seconds with Google and you turn up:
http://transamgta.com/BanditII/
and from what I think from that I would think it would have more badges on it to say it was something special...

The Bandit II and the Pro Am were made by Choo Choo Customs I think. The Pro Am hood is actually metal with glass scoop bolted on. Some of the Pro Am's did get a full glass hood though. Hawk's had one I almost bought several yrs ago.

If I did those fx I would get rid of the little black bumpers, I like them without the GFX, but for some reason they look like a mustache with the GFX...

Well, Yeah, if you go on vacation here, but I LIVE here, along with what - a million or so others, spread out between the islands? Not all are lazy, just the camera-touting tourists. And they surely don't drive any F-bodies (especially 3rd gen), they're out of the rental fleets now, I thunk.

Well, so far I know of three 'generations' of the Pro Am. That one is the Pro Am I, then there is another third gen that is the Pro Am II, and then there is a fourth gen that s the Pro Am III. There may even be a fourth, but I have yet to see one. I do not really care for the third gen Pro Am's, but I thought that the Pro Am III that I saw was pretty cool.

Hey,I'm kinda new here but I have an 88 Pro am and I am looking to sell my hood/scoop to anyone who wants it.It's bolted on with 4 bolts...what else would you bolt it down with?Anyway mine is a pro am.Not I,II or III it had a 305 tbi some like bullet wheels with some wierd spinner things on them. The GFX on the rocker panel is nothing like a trans ams it's cheaper feeling I think. But anyone can e-mail or PM about the hood scoop if they want it,I have some pics too if you'd like.
