Watch out for paintballs
So tonight, i'm in my car at the park waiting for my friends to arive to play some ball. i see a car go by, and then here a loud thud on the passenger side. I get out to check it out, and find a nice orange paintball splattered on the door. Now given that the paint on my car isn't perfect, it still pissed me off pretty good, the paint hit an area where the clear coat was fading, and where it was, the paintball stained the paint a little bit.
So watch out for those 16 year olds that just got their drivers liscene and think it would be cool to shoot up cars with paintball guns. you just don't f*ck with a mans car, you just don't do it.

haha oh boy this brings back a few old memories. Back when i had my 88 SC a few of my friends thought it would be funny to paintball my car, sooo at school we opened the windows up in study hall( we were on the top floor..3rd, and we park our cars right beside the school) and covered this guys car with wet toilet paper...looked pretty nice when the sun came out and it dried lol. Then the next nite we found his car in a parking lot so we took his hub caps, jacked his car up, put it up on blockes, and let the air outta his tires...he was pissed but he never paintballed my car agian.

FYI, the paint in paintballs is vegetable oil based, and it can screw up auto paint as bad as brake fluid. Let me elaborate. If the paintball happens to get into a spot on the paint where it can get to the metal, or in some cases the primer, and is allowed to sit, it will actually seep between the paint and the metal and "boil" the paint. Just like if you were to pour brake fluid on a car and left it standing for a while. I know this because, when I got my first paintball gun, I lived and worked in a junkyard. I'd go outside after work and splatter the bent up sheetmetal. A few days after leaving my mark on the fender of a particular 300ZX, I noticed the paint was sliding off the door. I couldn't believe it. I went around to the other cars I'd used for targets and found the same thing on a few others. I didn't find it on all of them, but the ones that were like that had no clear coat left on them. It doesn't sound like you left it on there anywhere near long enough for it to do damage, but just so you know, it can.
I hate it when little punkass kids take their paintball markers out and use them for stuff like that. It's no wonder that every time I mention to a colleague of mine, or people my age (I'm 27), I get looked at like some kind of hood rat. I was constantly giving the "it's a great, and safe, sport as long as it's played responsibly" speech, but now I just say "you should come out and play sometime, before you jump to conclusions".

I used to be an avid paintball player, let me clear up something.
Though most paintballs are harmless, since thye are made from vegetable oil, some are not. The cheapest of the paintball brands, Brass Eagle, has paint in the ***** that are slightly acidic. It will eat away automotive finish if not cleaned off quickly. Most other brands will be fine though.

my current kit is a angel force 4, lp crossfire 68ci/4500psi, full freak barrel kit, the new halo prototype loader that isnt even avaible yet(teammates with owners of angel-parts.com, they get all kinds of goodies), plus lots of other stuff.
nfs...is that a ruger 10/22 with a aftermarket stock or a mini-14?
ill post my match rifle when i get home(im at school)
bushmaster AR-15(civilian m16), frank white trigger w/ 3 1/2 lb. pull and 1 lb. let-off. match barrel 1 in 8" twist. 7 pounds of weights in forstock/buttstock, quarter minute sights. match honed upper reciever. it shoots 1/8 minute groups(a group the size of a dime at 200 yards) it's accurate enough to hit a human sized target out to about 900-1000 meters.
i shoot it at regional at at the national highpower matches, but its for sale because im going to college next year and will have no time to shoot.

Where I am from here in AZ its a considered a felony to shoot someone with a paintball gun. A small group of kids ( a few are 18 yrs old) decided to drive around town and shoot a few cars...well they also decided to shoot a few people as well as they were driving by them. They mistakenly shot at an undercover cop who was walking to someones door. Needless to say they were arrested and charged with a felony. Even though those kids mentioned above shot his car I would think it is still a crime if they are caught. I would imagine though that each state has its own laws concerning this.

yeah no laughing matter u can get into serious trouble if found with a loaded gun around here in a car i think. i got into paintball and its fun in the woods, not on the street.

I don't think that there are any states where it wouldn't be a crime shoot a car with a paintball gun. At the very minimum it has to be vandalism, maybe criminal mischief. Here in Colorado, there was a doctor in Longmont shot from a moving car while walking his dog. It just about blinded him. If it would have been about a half inch higher he would have been blinded.
I sure wish I knew what happened to the godd ol days of TPing houses and writing dirty works in the dirt on a car's back window. These days it seems that everyone is out to destroy other peoples stuff.

Here in PA, it's illegal to drive with a loaded paintball gun, even if it's in you're trunk. If it's loaded and they find it, you're in deep.
I agree with GTA-SPD on this one. A little TP never hurt anyone and soap on the windows, that's a classic. I can understand the urge to destroy something (like keying that stupid looking Civic that's always driving around with the badykit that he's had for a year and still hasn't painted....) But he likes it, for some reason. just think that whatever you do to someone elses car could be done to yours. And if they find out it was you, it will be worse!
