Show off your neon third gens! or any bright colors
Im trying to figure out what color to paint my firebird. body work is allmost done and i need a color choice to be able to finish it. so help me out with all the lime greens, plazma purples, and hot pinks that came from the 80s. more contemporary colors are great to so long as there ultra vivid and grab your attention.
Edit: i found the color im going with, its from a pontiac aztek (yuck) its bad lighting but i can tell thats the color ive been looking for

There was a tangerine firebird on here with I think the ram aire 2 hood and the 4th gen spoiler. It looked pretty nice, it was definately flashy if that's what your looking for.

You may have to mix that color yourself, I really can't think of any car I've seen out there coming in that actual color.
That or contact the paint manufacturers, Dupont, PPG, House of Kolor etc
The Lamborghini orange is most certainly orange, same as with the 350Z orange, however that Camaro looked more like yellow with just a drop or two of orange in it, not very bright.

Yeah that's a big problems I'm having finding the color. I'm wanting something bright and vibrant yet when i see different pictures of the same car, it's an amazing difference when the sunlight catches a metallic just right. the color I'm looking for looks like a bell pepper under the lights they have at wall mart in the produce section. I'm thinking i might just buy one and take it to have it spectrum analyzed =p
that's the problem I'm having looking for a color. lighting plays a huge part in it, even when I'm looking at paint chips in the catalog. I'm taking them outside in sunlight to see what they look like. take for instance J&H's car there, the difference between the color and the sunlight catching that same color. the orange on the lambo is kinda the color I'm looking for. the one on his car still looks good but doesn't have that glow to it

I gotta say, the new dodge charger has me interested. Im going to see if i can find one in a lot. Sadly 99% of people buying thos want them silver or some other subdued color. the R/T is the only one to get the flashy new colors.

Seriously, I'll be surprised if you find the exact color. Best way to go will most likely be getting yellow, and mix it with a few drops of red and add some pearl to it. For the real glow, add diamond dust to the clear coat. Shimmer shimry shimring !!

Have any pictures of that? Thats something new to me. And the only problem with trying to mix paint is it sometimes changes color during the drying process. or is that only for house paint?
