I think a Mustang rim on a camaro would look stupid!!- But i do think they are tight rims ( if you have a ford )

Don't put a mustang rim on!! That's messed up... I'd have to blow up your car seeing it would make me think that you LIKE the mustangs..

Car: too many ...
dont listen to these guys. nothing wrong with mustang cobra r rims. i think they look way better than SS rims. if things work out like I hope, im considering getting a set of cobra r's and powdercoating them white and put em on my 89 rs.

but if your gonna put a ford engine in your camaro then i think people might try to blow it up. hehe. but for reals, those wheels are smooth. if you cant stand buying something ford then do what i'm gopnna do and buy a set of knockoffs and have em custom drilled for your car. k den

I dont get what the big deal is about putting a set of rims from a FORD Mustang on my TA. They are made from the same pieces of chrome and steel that the rims and other parts from your pontiacs and GM's are made from. Do you think that they get specially made chrome and metals made up just for Pontiacs and GM's? That makes no sence to me. I am not a Mustang fan at all. That is why I own a TA. I think these rims look sorta like the ZR1 rims from the new vettes and Firehawks. Actually they are pretty much the same. Take a look at them on ebay. They are also a little bit cheaper. Its not like I am going to go to the FORD dealership and buy some 5.0 and Cobra decals to put on my TA. I do have some respect for some of those mustangs out there. There are some nice looking Rustangs out there with some nice engines. But I would always take a camaro or TA over a rustang any day. Now can somebody please try to tell me how to post pics of the rims I have. I also used photo shop and put the rims on a nice camaro pic I have. How do I go along doing this? Please let me know how to exactly post pics. Email me at jimbo1184@hotmail.com

Alright...here they are. I think they would look sweet on a third gen. TA or Camaro. I have used photo shop to put them on and compared them to the ZR1 rims. I like them just the same. The only thing I wouldnt keep on them is the Cobra signs in the middle.

http://www.rim1.com/cobrac5.jpg

http://www.rim1.com/cobrasil.jpg

Can somebody use photoshop and put these on a third gen TA and Camaro and then post the pics so that everybody can see that it is ok to put mustang rims on a third gen. Oh, by the way would you need the spacers in order to put these on a third gen?

I'm sorry.. I didn't realize that the Cobra's had different rims.. I thought it was that tacky plastic looking silver that's on every other mustang.. me sorrie.. I think that American Racing makes rims like that.. The only Thing that I'd change is the Cobra get rid of it.. ICK hehe.. once again I appologize for the lack of my mustang knowledge.. do you blame me?? As a good deed I'll photoshop those rims on my car..

And so is the fenders, hood, glass and etc. They are just designed different. That's where the differance is. That's like putting a Mustang GT engine in my Trans Am and saying "but it's an engine and every car has one." So what's wrong with that, well IT'S A FORD!

fords do suck, but if any of you have read the MAR. 2001 issue of GM High-Tech Performance mag, in the project Thunderchicken (even tho is a 4th gen), they got a set of Cobra R type rims from Performance Wheel outlet and painted them black.....and they look mean!
i never thought a mustang item would look so good on an Fbody.....
BTW that rim is Performance Wheel Outlet 280 Motorsport 17x9"- $150 each

Red Demon....dont worry about it. I dont get upset about other peoples opinions. I should have explained more in detail which ones they were. I would never put any other mustang product on my TA and disgrace it like that. I would put these rims on it though. They are fairly cheap and are $600 for a set of 4. I am thinking about getting a set for my TA in a few months. Right now I will stick with my GTA rims.

Before you do that I would take a look at the new 17" chrome WS6 rims from slp VERY nice 5 spoke chrome rims. I would use a ford part only as my last resort It's up to you man but I think you could find many rim's that would look better on your car than those.

the wheel pads on Mustang rims are too small to fit the GM bolt circle, the only Cobra rims that will fit an Fbody are reproductions with the fbody's bolt pattern

Do what you want. If have a liking to the Cobra rims, f*** everyone else. That's what owning a car si all about, making it your own. If someone has a problem with it to hell with 'em.

I personally don't think they look bad.

I personally like these rims a lot. I think that when I get enough money for my new rims I will have a tough decision between these Cobra R rims, the ZR1 rims, and the TTII's. I like the cobra's a lot...and they are cheap as well. I will just stick with my GTA rims for now though.
