Re: everyone post pictures of your black firebirds
Here is my 1987 Firebird Trans/Am. I've only owned the car for 5 days. We payed $1700 bucks for it. ONLY 64,000 ORIGIONAL MILES. Needs tiny tiny body (perfectionist) work. Haha. Two dents in the car. Super tiny. Other than that it needs a new spoiler (Current one is cracked, bad) and I NEED TO FIND A NEW REAR DIVIDER PANEL (the panel in-between the two tail lights) mines cracked. Any ideas where I can find one? PLEASE HELP. Lol.
Re: everyone post pictures of your black firebirds
Haha yeah man, I saw that we lived so close, I HONESTLY might take you up on the offer. The engine runs better than anybody expected (Runs like new honestly), but the car needs paint.. a new spoiler, and a few other tiny detail things (Stripes, emblems, etc). Other than that, its perfect haha. OH and btw, do you think getting the Tint in the back window redone will be a problem?
Re: everyone post pictures of your black firebirds
When you take the tint off, you pull off the defrosters. I know mine never worked to begin with... I wouldn't be too worried about it, I think the defrosters actually mess up the tint when they get hot.
All I know is that I really need tint. My black leather seats get way too hot in the summer..
Re: everyone post pictures of your black firebirds
Haha yeah. Well we plan to take it to a professional to get the tinting job done, lets hope hes good enough not to destroy the defroster wires. Lol. Any idea where I can find a divider panel? That panel inbetween the two lights? for my firebird? lol. I need one, mines like dented and cracking. Its not HORRIBLE. But I need to find one. Any ideas? Hawks doesn't have one. Any junkyards around our area with a pile of firebirds in it? lol. I need to search around or something.

Here is my 1989 Black Formula 350. pics were taken a few months ago when my drive way was in the proccess of getting redone. the car has 45k original miles atm. i use just as a fun car in good weather. when the weather is good i drive her everwhere. she is all stock and its hard work at times finding original parts.
Re: everyone post pictures of your black firebirds
the asymetrical hoods came on all 3rd gen formulas it was part of the formula package up to 91 and a half. if you see a firebird without and formula stickers on the sides its either had its hood replaced or someone just stuck decals on a base model or decaled a trans am. but the hood is why i fell in love with em they look really slick like that let me find a front shot of the hood for ya...

.... yeah... too many black birds on the second link to post. That is my site and i've spent ample time collecting camaro and bird pics over the years, so I think its relevant to the thread.
Re: everyone post pictures of your black firebirds
Here's a picture of my 83 TA I picked up almost to years ago. A previous owner put 85-90 bumpers and ground effects on it but I've since removed them. The car is sitting comfortably in the garage awaiting its turn at being restored. One cool thing is that it still has its original crossfire 305.
