I'm with Jensen and his hilarious comment. I'd stay away from the louvered look. You should post some pictures of your 84 T/A!

they look best in satin black.
they don't really affect your vision, and they tremendously cut down on the heat inside

Re: new member...louvers??yes or no
I always considered them a Camaro thing for some reason.
And it can look very nice long as your one of few with them.
If every other 3rd gen ya see in your area has em, they get old quick.
But look sharp when ya don't see em often.

Re: new member...louvers??yes or no
If you can get your hands on some factory metal louvers then buy them and dont look back. I always get complimented on mine. they give the car more of a vintage look. i think they look a little better on birds too since they are slightly more wedge shaped, but they look great on either. but dont get aftermarket plastic ones. In my opinion they look extremely tacky.

Re: to louver or not to louver?
I'd say yes as long as it doesn't have the rear aero spoiler on it. I personally have never been a fan but they don't look too bad on the gray Bird.

Re: to louver or not to louver?
Just bought a factory set! I'm excited, but waiting on their arrival.
For a plastic set, mine were pretty good, but it will be nice to get the real thing on there

here they are installed... in some ways I like the way the plastic ones look and fit. I may go back to them someday, but for now I'll use these

Re: to louver or not to louver?
I say go for louvers, they do look a lot better in my opinion. but go for a 1 piece, my 3 piece is nice, but a 1 piece would look so much better
