Different front Emblems?
I dont know if this really has too much to do with auto, but it's definately detailing related. I had went on Hawk's third gen parts and was looking at emblems, but as i understood it, there were different emblems for different years, and i'm just curious as to if anyone knows how acurate these are. I have an '88 IROC, and am thinking about getting the front emblem tattooed on my shoulder, with a portrait (dont think i spelled that right) of it after it's fixed up under that. So i just want to make sure i'm getting the right emblem perminently embedded into my skin before it's done, and not find out after it's done that it's the wrong emblem. This is what it shows for '86-'92 IROC and RS Camaros.

Re: Different front Emblems?
funny that you posted this yesterday: my car is being repainted and this very emblem broke when it was being removed. i told the gent doing the work that i would get a replacement, and i found it on hawks.
the package arrived yesterday and when i opened it, the emblem somehow looked "different." now i cannot say that in the 24 years of owning the 88 iroc that i studied this part, it was just an initial reaction. then i looked at the package label and it lists that it's for 85-87 irocs. in the end, if it fits, it stays.
(i hope to get out this weekend to see the car. by last weekend it had been taken down to metal, old parking lot accident related damage properly reworked, and primed. ppg base/clear was to be purchased this past week.)

Not sure if your emblem pic is the same, but Classic Industries shows this pic, and it's the same as my '87. http://www.classicindustries.com/cam...ts/cm6994.html Just want you to make sure.

Re: Different front Emblems?
Looks the same to me. But the bottom of the pic i have seems to be more brown/gold. The one your link shows seems more silver to me.
