I really like the "aero" 91-92 front ends, go with that, your car would look great. But you should also get the 91-92 rear bumper to go with it imho.

Thats a tough one...I really like both of them myself.Sort of hard to decide, they both have such unique characteristics.I guess it's just your personal tastes of which one you prefer.Which ever one you like,go for it man

The 86 - 90 T/A Nose without a doubt. The Aero frontend, and Bat-wing GFX on the 91 - 92 T/A's are too cluttered looking to me, The rounded parts just don't seem match up with the otherwise sleek looking car. Plus, the two of the best looking T/A's on the planet (IMO) have that nose -- See pics below.

Gotta love the 91-92 nose. I get several compliments on it and those who are unfamiliar with f-body's often ask if its custom. Even been mistaken for a vette once It's unique, semi-exotic, and looks damn well mean when you've just got your fog lights/running lights on!

Any besides the 91-92. If the only other choice is the 85-90, go with that.

Oh yeah, without a doubt the best looking nose on a TransAm is the 86-90 with the foglights. The 91-92 nose looks like an experiment gone terribly wrong and the 82-85 are a little better but the car will have a reputation for being a low performance car as the motors that are associated with that nose are only lowly 305's that never reached 200 hp.

Beyond a doubt the 91-92 nose looks better. It gives the car a more rounded look that sets it apart from the thousands of boxy front ends you see on the earlier models. I agree the fog lights and nose just looks mean coming down the road. I make my fiance' drive it by me just so I can see what it looks like from the outside!! J/K But that's my vote!

I LOVE the 85-90 front ends.... I hate the 91-92 front end to the point where i wouldnt buy noe of them. But its all about your opinion man, its your car, ya know?

I have an 88 formula, that the front is coming off in lieu of a 85-90 TA nose....

Definitely the 91-92 style. It looks sweet; almost demonic. I like them both, but the newer ones look sharper IMO. Eventually I'll get around to putting one on my car.

91-92 nose all the way, unless it's a 85-90 T/A nose, those are equally as good. I hate those stupid bumper inserts on a 85-90 Firebird nose.

I personally like the 91-92 clips, they make the car look more smooth...aerodynamic...and I'm biased as well. But either of em still looks badass!

86-90 all the way. I really don't like the look of the 91-92's at all, but thats just my opinion. Personally, I like the 87-90 Formula front ends best. Not as boxy as the 86-90 TA's and not all pointy like the 91-92's.

You know the more I see the 91-92 front ends, the more I want to puke! 86-90 front ends just look much more muscular and fitting than those weird 91-92's.

Wow, I'm a camaro guy myself, never really paid much attention. I'd have to say the 86-90 front end minus the black things in the front. Not sure what they are called. On dark colors the 91-92 looks better, but I still think I like the 86-90 better.

While on the topic, what exactly is required to swap to the 91-92 gfx? I had been considering this myself, but heard that all the front nose hardware would need to be changed as well as the headlight bezels would need to be swapped/modified.

I chose the later styling solely for the performance of the engine under the hood. Within a few months the appearance had grown on me. I still like the 85-90 Trans Am setup, but the 91-92 is more unusual and has a very distinctive look. Really though, unless you have the entire 91-92 aero package or no gfx at all, the 91-92 nose looks like trash. And for the token picture...
