Black with Hugger metallic stripes/cowl hood...I need your opinions!
Well I heven't seen a thirdgen that's black and have hugger orange stripes, and too many with red stripes, so I've decided Hugger orange it is. i'm going to have metallic chips layed under the clear too. Let's here it, would you look at it and go eck!, nice, or stare for hours?
Also, I'm looking at Unlimited Products cowl hood, does anyone have a better suggestion?
Another thing, I want this to be a sleek car that doesen't jump out at you and hurt your eyes...I'm looking for subtle, nice stripes that dont make you look like a ***** geek...I guess I'm looking for a classic look.
Give me your opinions before I blow $2500-3000,
Matt

go for the paint job its sumthing totally diferent. but about the hood. dont get the unlimited products hood, when u get it the hood isnt even finish like its not jel coated or anything. i would go with a cryvinies ( or how ever u spell there name) 3 1/2in cowl hood. there all good quality and are steel reneforeed at points so they dont brake. also for 350bucks its a good price and all there hood are white jel coated. if i can find or get some pics of my brothers hood he got from them it looks good for the price. andalso it came with all the hardware to put ur spring and latch thing on and new bolts for the hood arm thingys, cant remember the name of them right now.

the unlimited industries hoods are a real nice design. i as well as some others have some problems with them. i ordered the one w/o the hood pins (bad move. its a waste of money). their hoods are very light and i recommend hood pins. now for the bad part. my hood w/ the shipping came out to be around $400. when i opened the box i was in shock. there was a chunck of the corner missing and some cracks in the front. the hood comes in what is known as gell coat. that gell coat is supposed to be scuffed and painted. the hood i recieved had alot of pits and imperfections in it. my friend works at a body shop so i brought it to him. he said it would have to be block sanded, filled, sanded agian, then primed. he said he would have to repeat this process many times before it would be ready for paint. the hood was to be painted black so it had to be almost prefect. also the underside of these hoods are unfinished. after all this prep work and paint, the bill came out to be $300, almost what i payed for the hood. so the best bang for the buck would be to go with a harwood hood or try www.USbody.com. yes they are more expensive but they are alot better quality. i hope this helps in your decission. did anyone else have this problem with the unlimited industries hoods.

you might wanna try a glasstek hood, if you like the style, it's a replica of the old 69Z hood, it's available in 2" and 4" as a bolt on or pin on. and are very reasonably priced and really good quality
heres a pic of my 2" galsstek, sorry but they don't have a webpage, but here's a phone# 630.978.9897

I have an Unimited Hood and when I got it...I as stunned. The hod looked horrible so I took it to a body shop and the guy was very honest and said he'll need to break it and re do it, he did and it looks incred now but I tried to save a few bucks but had to dish it out in the end.

Now I cant decide. I still want stripes but I'm not sure if I want hugger or a dark maroon metallic with the metalic flakes in it. Right now I'm leaning torward maroon but that will change at least once this week. I'm going to try to photoshop 87iroc's car to black with both color stripes. I've never really used photoshop before so if someone else could do it too I'd appreciate it.
Thanks for all the replys,
Matt
