Screw them in with torque bits. If you get black screws and put them in the right places, nobody will hardly even notice they're on, and while everyone always has a phillips screwdriver around, almost nobody carries torque bits. Thats basically the consensus of the last thread.

how would i get the screws in? i couldnt just screw them through the plastic, and making a small hole to start the screw in might crack the lens

Drill a small hole first, put the screws in slowly, don't overtighten it, and you'll be just fine.

not sure if bolting the headlight blackouts to the fiberglass nose is a wise idea.

a determined thief will still get the blackout off the car and in the process do a few hundred dollars worth of damage to the vehicle. is probably better to have to replace a $20 peice of black plastic than a $500 bumper cover.

People will steal anything not bolted (sometimes even bolted) they can, expecially blackouts from popular cars. There is this stuff called Night Shades from VHT, its pretty much black outs in a can. I never sprayed the brake lights with the stuff, but it looks GREAT on side markers, makes a black car look like its completely smooth, plus if a cop f*cks with you you can tell them it came from the factory, they believed my story.

2vmod:we are talking about bolting them to the taillights, not the front bumper cover.

Yeah, it is pretty low. But its happened to several of my freinds. Heck, in this town, my mom's 91 pale blue olds cutlass cruiser station wagon got friggin STOLEN! Who the heck steals a station wagon?? Plus I got broke into in front of my house a year ago, my freind a couple blocks away got hit IN his GARAGE, and I could go on and on. You should see what happens to best buy employees! I could go on and on about stuff that gets stolen in this town, its sickening. And if they can't take it, they'll break it just to screw you over. I'm dead serious. People down in a certain part of town will key up your car just cause its nice looking and its not theirs. I've heard them say it out loud as we were walking away from our rides one night (exact words were "that shizz tight dawg, i'm funsta key it up), we moved our cars elsewhere and that store lost business because of the 'hood it was in. 100% serious.

that why they make guns !!!

they can try their luck any time they feel like it, but they would have to be mighty desperate to try, a .45 makes a real big hole on the way out.
