My GoodMark steel Cowl Hood Progress Pics

Just started work on my GoodMark Cowl induction hood. I'll post more pictures after it's done. While I'm at it I'm also going to paint the entire front end. Here's the first of 5 pictures:

Looks sweet, the paint on your car looks good. Have it repainted recently?

Looking good. That will look SWEET when finished..If you would'nt mind..What colour is that? What I mean is, what is the paint code on the RPO sheet? and What year is that?? 91 or 92? I really like that colour.

Thanks,

That is a good looking hood. I really want to get one on my IROC. If you dont mind, how much was it? I have been pricing them, and they are not cheap. I dont mind the money part, but I want one that will fit like a factory hood.
How much of a cowl is it? I think that over 4" is a little too big for my taste.

The hood was $429 plus another $95 for shipping but, my friend who owns the shop received a 20% discount and got the whole thing for about $438 including the shipping.

That is the original "91" paint. The front end has a lot of pits from being daily driven which is why I'm having the front end redone.

The RPO code for the paint is 75U "Brilliant Red Metallic".

The tallest part of the Hood measures 4" tall. I was surprised that it was that tall when it arrived. That's why I took the drivers seat picture. It does look like it will block my view in parking situations. I'll have to get used to it but, the sacrifice is worth it.

Also, all factory grommet holes for hood insulation, underhood light, hood seals and latches are there just like the factory hood.

definatly a nice looking hood, Nice car also.

To bad you wont be loosing any weight with it being steel and all.
But I like the looks of the steel hood better than the other cowls I have seen.

Definatly post pics when you get done.

I also have a Goodmark Hood. Got it painted this summer to match my original 1987 paint. Enjoy the pics, this is probably what yours will look like, being similar color and all.

That looks really good. The cowls just looks oh so good on camaro's. I have a harwood pin-on that used to be a bolt-on until it came off the car at the track and landed in the grass . The only bracing left is under the front half of the hood. I'm going to just glass in some metal unerbracing to make it back into a bolt-on.
Are you going to cut out that metal so you can see the air cleaner?

I'm going to leave the rear metal piece with the holes in it because it adds strength to the rear of the scoop.

I have a question about the fitment of the that hood. I have an aftermarket stock iroc hood on my iroc and, from the pictures your hood looks like its fits better on your car than mine does on mine. Anyone know why this is. Why his after market cowl hood fits better than my after market original hood?? Crazy isn't it. Hood looks great btw..
