GTA Hood Vents
Anyone know how to remove these things? They Earl Scheibed me at the body shop and painted the grilles. Also one of the grilles has broken loose and I need to repair it. Can't figure out how to remove the damn things though. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Pop the hood and look, you'll find some holes up front, should be 2 - 10 or 13mm thread cutting nuts holding the front of the grilles in, remove those, lift the front of the grille, pull torwards you and voilą...

The donor ones I got simply popped out by prying on the edge facing the edge of the hood. It had a small amount of adhesive on it and 2 spring type clips. There is a hole underneath the extractor so, maybe certain years have a thread cutting nut for a retainer as opposed to the clips... here's a bad pic of the clips...

Your in luck
I just happened to pull all the hood louvers off last night. As you can probably tell from the bottom louver I had to learn the hard way ho to pull the rear ones off. The two arrows are the set clips that hold the louver in and down....If done wrong they will break.
The louvers have two holes (In the middle of those two holes are the clips. Carefully with a very skinny object (The Skinnier the better) Standing beside the louver coming in from the OUTER edge slide between the hood and the louver in the middle of each holes and depress the two clips. Once they release as you raise the louver pull towards you to release the other side.
Hope this helps

I suppose it would make a difference depending on who you are dealing with. I would expect that if they are attached to the hood, they come with it.
