On the hunt for a Hurst dual gate and have questions on install

I have to have one now

I like the design, but some people say direct bolt in...some say hack job......some say nuts bolts are missing ....

I searched ebay, and the internet for an hour looking for them and haven't come up with one?

Where can I find one?

Anyone have any comments on the install job?

www.summitracing.com part # HUU-2920001

Five minutes..

no idea on install... how does it work? Shift an auto in a manual-like pattern?

Dont see anything on 700r4 tho

EDIT:: HUU-2920000 apperantly works for 700r4... Did F-bodies come with 700r4 trannies before thirdgens? cause summit says they do..... hmm

I bought mine from JEGS
The install was pretty straight forward
Appearance /fit was very good(no missing parts)
I have since swapped to a manual tranny
I sold the shifter to another board member,he seems pleased with it too

Anyone else have problems with install? I'm very close to ordering one, just trying to get all my ducks in a row.

Nope, '83 was the first year for the 700R4.

I got mine from Classic Industries. Looks good, but was a pain to put in. Took a long time, but I guess if you have a good magnet, small hands, and small wrists, you'll probably have better luck. Just my opinion.

We'll I'm 5'9" and I couldn't get it done by myself. So, if you can get someone with an extra set of hands, it might help. Good luck to ya.
