1st or 2nd gen front for our cars?
I took off the front bumber cover and the headlight bar getting my car ready for paint I was struck by how much it looks like a 1st gen camaro with the hood down. I know custom crafting a front end isn't simple or easy but it seems like you could make a 1st gen style bumper cover and use the same gfx to make it all flow together. I was wondering if anyone had done this before.
I would like to try. I would try to use all the same mounting holes and use round headlights. I would also try not to have to change any of the connector ends. I know how to make adapters so that part wouldn't be a big deal. I would use tube steel for a custom headlight bar for the new head lights. I think I could use an after market grill and cut it to size to fit my setup. I would also keep the stock bumper cover and be able to change them back and forth.

I was looking more today. You could probably use the factory light bar just slightly modified and trim and shape the factory bumper cover with some fiber glass. The best would be to do it the right way by using modeling clay and shaping it to make a mold. Then use the mold to make a full fiber glass bumper cover. If I do decide to do it I would probably try it the first way since it would probably be cheaper.
