I can't get my gauge cluster out

I can't get my gauge cluster out. I removed the front cover, then removed the screws. Then I tried to pill it out and it gets stuck or wedged in between the dash and the steering column. Do I have to remove the steering wheel, or do I have to remove the steering column covers? I wish I had a tilt wheel.

Try ubolting the bottom of the steering collumn. There's 2 bolts (might be 4, dont remember) that hold it in place, loosen them and try sliding it over then, if not just ubolt it and tilt the collumn down.

i didnt drop my steering column, but i did take out the whole dash, i think if you drop the steering column it will still be wedged in.

once i took out the dash, i pulled it out without any force.

WAIT,
Please use the search option to find your answer. This question has been answered sooooooooo many times it's outrageous. First remove the bezel, next remove the 2 10mm screws that are located where the bezel bulbs are (warning lights, seat belts, shift etc) Next, after the cluster it is free, get under the drivers side lower dash and pull the fuse box down, slide your hand up underneath the dash and you will find a clip that holds the speedo cable to the cluster. Press on the release and it will pop out. You don't need tilt, it will come out but if you loosen the steering column it will be easier. It takes a little time and patience but it will come out.

there may be another way, but this was the easiest, i didnt just remove the upper dash, i removed the whole dash that covers your whoel vehicle, including the trims on the bottom they need to come out first. I think their is too much in the way to remove the gauge cluster by just dropping the steering column
