My 92 Rs Restoration Thread.
We'll Guys I've been here for a while and after reviewing others car's threads Heres mine. This Is my car, a 1992 Camaro rs 305 Tbi With a 5 speed. It has 155k and we picked it up last year. The plans for the car is to get another 305 Tbi (which i already have) and paint it. As of right now the interior is done.
This is when we bought it. We drove up to Dallas from Houston to get it.
----------
Dang Sorry Mods I posted this in Body instead of Auto Detailing and appearance. Could some one move it? Thanks.

Re: My 92 Rs Restoration Thread.
As soon as we got it home I started ripping it apart. I took all of the interior out and had replaced it with a donor car we had that had gotten wrecked.
Those are a few pictures of when I was taking it apart. Don't really have anymore then that, but this is it all put back together. The carpet, dash pad, seats and console, door panels, were all replaced with leather! Mind the drivers seat its only there till i'm finished with the car. !

Re: My 92 Rs Restoration Thread.
Yea 5 speeds are a blast. thats the reason we drove to Dallas for it.
Heres some more pictures.
After I've pretty much finished the interior, I started on the bodywork of the car. The person before me had run into a gas pump pole on the rear left quarter panel and put a pretty good sized dent in it. So to pull it out I hammered it out and used a stud gun to get it relatively straight. Then The body filler went on. Oh and I also wetsanded the car with 400 To get it ready for primer.

Re: My 92 Rs Restoration Thread.
Well its been a year exactly today. kind of weird but I have some updated pictures. I have done alot since such as removing the engine, primed the car, got it straight and brought it to my highschool where im about to paint it this next week. Hopefully if everything goes great I will have it on the road soon enough.
Eye Candy
Primed the back front wasnt ready.
then I fully primed the car and blocked out some low spots
got it all smoothed out

For 17? I'd be happy at my "old" age of 39 to be able to do that.
Good job! Hardly wait to see her done.
