84-86 Berlinetta radio replacement. Anyone seen this anywhere?

I grabbed this pic from a listing on eBay. The car is an '84 Berlinetta, but with the "pod" radio removed and replaced with a housing that holds an aftermarket radio.

I emailed the seller, but he said it came with the car and doesn't know anything more about it. He's supposed to be finishing school here and selling the car after graduation and then return to Europe.

It looks too nice and fits too well to be hacked from something else, but I've never run across anything like this for a ThirdGen.

Anybody seen this anywhere?

Looks like someone got a universal under dash mount and bolted it upside down to the console.

looks like the same thing.

Definitely a universal mounting kit. Made by Metra (I think) and sold at Pep Boys and similar stores in with the stereo adapters and install kits.
