front clip removal?
Upon removing a fender from my car I discovered why there is a strange gap between the hood and bumper that I can't close-- one of the supports under the fender has been hacked up and POORLY welded back together, off center.
I was at a wrecking yard recently and inspected a 3rd gen with all of the front sheet metal removed, and I didn't see any bolts or mounting hardware whatsoever between the front clip and the body. Can it be removed and replaced without cutting?
I know I'm probably going to hear "just get another body, they're a dime a dozen" but if at all possible I'd prefer not to. Berlinettas aren't terribly common around here and I have most of the electronics functioning properly!

Re: front clip removal?
camaros are unibody cars which means the body is the frame. the fenders, hood, and bumper all bolt to the unibody. there is a subframe in the front underneath the car.

I know it's a unibody. I have a 63 Nova that is also a unibody; but the entire front clip unbolts, leaving nothing forward of the firewall. My question was if it's possible to do the same to a 3rd gen F body.

Re: front clip removal?
These cars do not have a sub-frame like earlier generations. All of what you see in the picture below is part of the body and cannot be removed by unbolting, it needs to be cut. The only thing that's bolted on is the K-member.
