Re: Need help engine bay

You can run braided fuel lines from the chassis hardline to the fuel rails.
And you can run braided power steering line from the steering box to the power steering pump.

The fuel line you can just use normal braided fuel line, but the power steering line you must use special high pressure line with crimped ends to prevent leaks. These lines are expensive to make. Here's a pic of the braided fuel lines

In my opinion it looks a hundred times better than having those rubber lines wrapped in coil loom which attacth to ugly steel fuel line then to the fuel rail line.
I can hook you up with the part numbers if you want to run this exact setup, but some guys cut the fuel lines off the fuel rail and modify the fuel rail for the line to come out near the fuel pressure regulator and at the front of the rail.

Re: Need help engine bay

You can paint your strut towers, or buy new units from KYB, theyre about $50 a piece, and will look great. Paint your booster as well.

Re: Need help engine bay

I'd hit up the engine bay with industrial strength degreaser. Get that steering box all cleaned up. Spray her all out with the pressure washer and get that paint looking good.
This bay has a lot of potential.

Just spray bombed it? Hahhaha it actually turned out really nice. I'd lay down some clear as well, just to ensure its longevity.

Re: Need help engine bay

Just use some paint stripper on the steering shaft. Not gonna do the booster? I guess that would be fairly tough to paint while it's still installed.
And if you do the braided fuel lines it'll look dope too.
I'll suggest painting your AC box the same color as the car, or a nice gloss black.

Re: Need help engine bay

Next time you spray something like that and have to tape off stuff like a brake booster and fuel lines, use aluminum foil and just wrap it around the components not to be painted. You'll love how easy it is and how tight you will be able to mask stuff off.

had to replace my whole hydro assy for my clutch in a truck stop on the way to an F event in bowling green KY. had to go to a pontiac dealer in nashville to get the part as that was the only place that had the part and it came as the while assy only. knocked it out in a truck stop parkinglot. only thing that screwed me up was we didnt have a 13 mm deep well, otherwise it was no sweat.
