5.7 TPI Emblem
Just received mine today, Anyone give me the exact location of the emblem on the rear bumper (with Photo). Two way tape or glue? Thank you so much.

Re: 5.7 TPI Emblem
I believe they make specific adhesive for items like emblems. This is available at Autozone although it might not be the correct one.

I removed my old TPI emblem since it was falling off. Looks like factory used a black colored adhesive that dried to a rubberized texture. My helms manual for 92 camaro says to install 5.7 TPI emblem 3" (76mm) from the left side of indentation on bumper. I know 91-92 bumpers are slightly different from 87' however GM might have kept spacing similar.
Note for anyone using non 5.7 TPI emblem ("Tuned Port Injection" only), spacing is 3.8" (96mm) from left.

Re: 5.7 TPI Emblem
thanks, i looked on the thread of "rear photos of cars" and sort of determined where it should go. It looks much better now with it on. It actually came with 2 way on it so I'll keep an eye on it. One member said, in another thread, that it differed on each car, out of the factory.

Re: 5.7 TPI Emblem
The correct adhesive is: "3M Emblem Cement", available @ many parts stores. You will not be disappointed, it will out-perform any thing else you might use.

How do you tell the difference? I have an emblem I'm not going to put on my car, I might sell it instead, but it says 3M on the back.

Re: 5.7 TPI Emblem
I'm talking about the 3M Emblem Cement found in a white toothpaste-style tube w/red lettering on it. It's probably bigger than a 4 oz tube, and somewhat pricey, about $12 a tube, if memory serves. But you'll find many uses for it after you get it. Sounds like your emblem may have come w/3M double backed tape, instead.
