Parts list for my car

I'm not to sure where to put this thread just thought this was the best overall place. Im looking to know where I would be able to buy all these, at the cheapest price.

Where do you shop for all your needs? (online or at a store)

This is a general list of the parts I need. Miscellaneous parts pretty much.
My car is a 1988 Camaro

1. Rubber seals for windows and etc ( be nice to have it in a bulk pack?)
2. Those caps with the logos on them, they go on the rims and are plastic.
3. Gauge cluster
4. Preferably a new dashboard, but a used will do.
5. Door hinges I just need one but while I have it off I should just replace them all.
6. Door panels (possibly leather, thats what I want the end result of the interior to be)
7. New carpet
8. Soundproofing material? (Cheapest but still good)
9. Shifter (that whole area, The gear indicators are faded, and the stick is a bit rusty, also the plastic piece is broken)
10. New head liner (pretty much everything new on the inside, that has to deal with any material. Most of its stained and crappy)
11. Vents
12. Center console ( its broken)
13. Leather seats ( black with red stitching, or vise versa I dont know what will look better. My car is all black feel free to lend an opinion).

I think that is all for now. This is simply a list so you can see what I need. Just incase anyone knows where I can get that specific item cheap!

But in general Id like to know where you go to shop, because Im sure you don't go to the most expensive place there is.

Even better if someone reading this had a part or two that I needed.

Opinions welcome thank you.

Most of what you want, like the rim caps, cluster, dashpad, panels, shifter(The part you mentioned is the top console)Vents, and console can all be found at the junkyard,if youre not looking to spend too much. Also look at the threads on here. Scroll to the bottom and look at "Parts for sale" Or you can try ThirdgenRanch,a great website full of parts for thirdgens.Hawks thirdgen parts as well. Even try Ebay. As far as the leather seats, go for ebay or try a website for racing parts, like Sparco. Either way, leather seats with red stitching is going to cost you a pretty penny. I would just get seat covers IMO. Sound proofing material like Dynomat,Hushmat, and so on,can all be found on ebay. Average about 130 bucks for a decent size roll. Trust me you wont find it much cheaper. The rubber seals, also try on here. Or Thirdgen ranch.Door hinges, junkyard, ebay,Thirdgen ranch. Carpet,Hawks Thirdgen has new carpet. Its
about 300 Dollars. Youre gonna find the junkyard and Ebay,as well as members selling parts on here will be your best friends. Thirdgen and hawks are great, but not if you dont have much cash in your wallet.

Re: Parts list for my car

1) not a clue i saw a set of all the seals and it was expensive once so i forgot about the idea.
2) for stock z28 rims? craigslist ebay maybe thirdgen ranch, or hawks or someone
3) depedns if you wanna go aftermarket or stock, for stock a junyard or craigslist
4) junkyard, craigslist
5) theres a rebuild kit out there i think do some searching
6) i beleive thirdgens only had vinyl door panels so leathers would have to be recovered to your liking
7) asc i think it is makes replacements, check thirdgenranch or something for some of these parts and carpet, idr who their supplier is
8) soundproofing theres tons of company that do this just search around find one within your specifications, theres also places like lizard skin that is spray on sound deadener
9) gear indicator plates and such at thirdgen ranch or junkyards if you dont want shippnig costs but do some research
10) better off buying new once again try thirdgen ranch or hawks or something
11)what vents?
12) junyard, ebay, craigslist, many of the featured parts suppliers on this site
13)leather seats will have to be done if you want red stiching, there are such things as leather thirdgen seats and 4th gen leather seats are direct bolt ins
like i mentiones theres tons of places that just cater to thirdgens, hawks/thirdgenranch/a1 auto, and many others. check your local yard ebay and craigslist you never know what deals you will find.

Re: Parts list for my car

Yeah it is, wow that is a little much. I wish I could clean my carpet =/. It has some tears and other disgusting things on it. The people that had this car before me really didn't show it to much respect, its a shame. But good thing I have it, I'm bringing it back to life lol.

So is it 350 to carpet my whole car? I would hope so.

Re: Parts list for my car

yeah it is, what i would do is find a car thats being parted out on craigslist or if there are any sites for camaro/firebird owners ion your state check there. look it the carpet and if its cleanble then buy it, sometimes its just worth it to do that and spend some extra time to get it looking new again.

Re: Parts list for my car

I would say junk are would be the first step. Their are a lot of good info on tgo , but it takes some good searching.

try ebay, local craigslist adds, the sponsors on this site, modderdaymuslce, look though aftermarket product review on the forum.

Make your self a list of what you want the final goal to be, if you want leather door panels don't buy some cloth ones now and some leather ones later. Buy the leather ones when you could afford the ones you truly want. It will save you money in the long run.

read read and read more. You dont want to spend your hard earned money on crap do ya?
