Killing rust INSIDE a frame rail?

Hey guys, got my Trans Am's front clip in pieces for some upcoming body work, and I noticed some surface rust inside of the front subframe rails where the impact bar bolts onto. How should I address this?

POR15 or Eastwood's Encapsulator will cover the rust and prevent oxygen from penetrating and causing more rust. It comes in black to match the OEM paint too. I like the Eastwood product better, and it gets harder when wet. Ive seen old timers restore a frame and they pour the stuff inside the rail, swish it around and then pour out the excess. Do a google search.

Let us know how well this stuff works and if it's easy to use, I've been debating using this but it seems a bit pricy. If it works then I guess it'd be worth it.

Re: Killing rust INSIDE a frame rail?

You got it zola! And to my surprise, I ordered this YESTERDAY morning with the basic shipping and it's already at my house! I plan on coating the inside of my passenger side frame rail this evening. The driver's side is getting a new battery tray welded in so I figured I'd wait until after that's done.

I'll keep you guys posted.
