I was very happy with my ACC carpet. I originally bought one from I think JC Whitney , or some other real cheap place and it sucked. Had to trim the hell out of it. When I got it it had about a foot of material too much all the way around. Real pain in the *** to install and it never looked right.

My new ACC carpet was much better. Still had to do some triming but nowhere near as much. Was molded much better as well.

I second ACC! Very nice carpets. My dad has one in his '68 Chevelle SS and the fit is great (a little trimming, but hey, you always gonna need to trim a little).

i went to a boneyard and got the carpet out of a black berlinetta, i wasnt in perfect shape but i got it all for 80 bucks, i took it to one of those self serve car washes and hung it from the floor mat holder and then power washed the hell out of it. i let it dry for a day in my garage(i live in fl so it didnt take long) then i bought one of the bottles of rit dye from wal mart for 2.49. it says to mix it with 6 gallons of water to fully use the whole bottle, well i mixed it with 32 ounces of hot water and sprayed the **** out of the carpet. it took about 3 days to fully dry but it looks brand new and doesnt leave any residue. so for 82.49 i got "new carpet and the fit is obviously a perfect match

just an option for ya

worked well for my black interior not sure about the other dye colors

I avidly support the rit dye technique. Did the same on a black carpet after powerwashing it and running laundry detergent through it. So long as you can get a piece that is not worn through, I think that's the best way to go. The aftermarket stuff without the rubber underlay attached just doesn't match the quality of an original piece.

I also installed the ACC carpet. I bought mine from http://www.1aauto.com and paid less than I would've from http://www.accmats.com. The one thing I didn't like was that with new carpet, everything else looks bad! I had to get better junkyard seats. I had to get better floormats. I have to fix my headliner now. I also have to paint the seat rails, because from the side with the door open, you can see the rust on them. I also find myself vacuuming the carpet more often. So those are my only complaints.

so in otherwords, it did it's purpose by looking better and fitting fine?

i ordered my acc mats today, thanks for all the suggestions; can't say much for the operator......she didn't know much about the product. luckly i read all the info on the site before hand and new exactly what i wanted so i'm hoping everything will be ok.

they told me 5-10 days, the site said 48 hrs tops........wasn't happy about that but i'll live!

I'll post some pics of the custom interior with my new carpet as soon as it comes in. thanks again everyone!
