you have to play around with them some..I assume this is a bolt on hood since you mentioned it not latching correctly..check the rubber stops on the radiator support and also if you used stock hinges with shocks for a metal hood that could also be a problem..you will want some worn out shocks or shocks for a fiberglass hood like 82-84 z28..

Hi Bro! I have one of those hoods on my 86 Trans Am. Had to make some ajustments for sure. I took out the shocks of the hinges becasue of the stress they were putting on the hood. I also put hood pins in to hold the hood down better. Looks really sweet now. Here is a picture. Later Bro...

I had to shim the hood side of the latch on my Daytona IROC hood about half an inch before it would latch, I'm still using the hood shocks though.

Just needs to be adjusted. Take out the gas struts and loosen the bolts a little and move it around till you get it right.

If it fits everywhere but the front you can Screw the rubber bumpers down there is 4 two of them will be on top of the radiator support and 2 right behind the bumper this is the 2 that you need to turn down if you turn them down and the hood it not tight then you may need to adjust the hood latch down also
