$2600 good price for this 1987 Iroc Z 350 tpi?????

I am newer to this and this will be my first 3rd gen I have been dreaming of having one for a while now and yes restoring it if needed. I am also looking at this 1987 Iroc Z 350 5.7 TPI with brand new tires all around, new brakes, new rotors, brand new radiator, full service done with synthetic oil, new battery, new cables, new hood and trunk struts, new locking lug nuts, brand new sway bar links, full alignment and a mean sounding flowmaster exhaust.
I know the paint and dents aren't perfect but I have a friend with his dad who paints vehicles, bikes etc for a living so would get a fair discount on it. What do you think? 57,000 original miles for $$2,600

Yeah , $2400 sounds like a better price.

i paid 2 grand for mine with some work done to it 2600 is a bit high to me especially considering the pretty apparent fender rust. a "full service and new locking lug nuts" shouldnt be a selling point and isnt even worth mentioning, no matter how "new" the service is you should be changing the fluids/filters yourself right after you buy it

If it's a vin code 8, and you've checked the floors by pulling up the carpet, and you've checked and found no rust around the t-top area, yes I'd say it's a really good price. Hard to believe with condition it's in that the mileage is correct, it's probably turned over at least once. Make sure there isn't any hidden rust and you should be good to go. Stone

Being that the car has a five digit odometer, I would say that the car has 157k miles and not 57k. Looks like it needs a lot of work.

Re: $2600 good price for this 1987 Iroc Z 350 tpi?????

I payed 650 for my 91 firebird with all working everything. Cons- Dented bumper as well as fender damage, needs new turn signals, a new tire, was sitting for 2 months (as far as I know. -_-) I'm eighteen and delivered pizzas in it for pizza hut. If this car is what you want I can't say that you're wrong because I'm glad that I went from a cavalier to mine.. Just realize how much more money it will take to make it what you want it to be. That was MY mistake.

Sounds like a lot of money for something that rough. I'm sure there's room for negotiation. Start low..you can always go higher.

Re: $2600 good price for this 1987 Iroc Z 350 tpi?????

Funny, earlier this year I drove past that exact one on the way to school everyday... lol

I'd say its not a bad deal at all... I paid 700 for a 305 iroc that had basically nothing working, no real paint, and no interior... so from my perspective its a decent deal... salvage title is bad though.

Although right down the street from there, theres a parked 2nd gen in similar shape which seems like a better project.

Re: $2600 good price for this 1987 Iroc Z 350 tpi?????

Thanks everyone any info is helpful and yeah I do realize the condition and of course that the mileage probably already went around at least once(which would help to get them to lower the price). I have a contact that's very skilled in body work and painting so I am not worried about fixing the body damage and ill be swapping to new interior seats etc... and as for the mileage on the engine I don't mind it being that high cause whenever it goes out I'll eventually be swapping the original engine for a LT1 or Ls1. and of course I am keeping my options open to other options so I am still looking don't plan on buying till before Christmas or mid Jan.
