Replacing hood hinge on Formula
Has anyone replaced the hood hinges without taking the hood off. Back in the day, I was able to remove Thunderbird hinges by supporting the hood from the ceiling of the garage.
The reason I want to change them is that the bottom strut studs on both sides are coming apart. I don't see a nut behind them to tighten so I assume they are swedged.

You can replace them one at a time with the hood open. Just need a helper to hold the hood for you while you swap the hinge.

What are the "bottom strut studs"?
You can prolly hold it up, Its just replacing the hinge (I did it) while supporting the hood so it doesn't fall and damage anything. Its easier with a bunch of friends helping though in case things go wrong...that hood can get pretty heavy!
