I have not posted here in ages but I decided to make a bracket to mount 2004-2007 Cadillac CTS-V and 2010+ Camaro Brembo front calipers to our cars. The bracket is designed to be used with a C6 Corvette Z06 14" rotor. I have had a test bracket machined at a local water-jet service and did a test fitment.

The braket should be cut out of 3/8 steel and you will need to use a HD (1LE) hub. You can find more detailed information and the bracket CAD and PDF files on my website: http://lukeskaff.com/?page_id=355

Is that the exact size? of the bracket? If it is for i could print it and make it also what you mean by 1le hub?

Printing these images will not work. I have a PDF file of the bracket on my site that can be printed out and scaled to proper size to match your printer. You could also download AutoDesk's free AutoCad file viewer, calibrate your printer, and print the bracket.

The 1LE hub refers to the rotor used to be machined down into a hub to mount the Z06 14" rotor too. You must take a 1LE rotor and machine it down on a lathe to a hub.

Does this require button head bolts like Ed's bracket, or will normal hardware work?

Edit: Nevermind...forgot the button head bolt deal was for the Racecraft spindles. They mount a little differently on them.

If you mean the stock 10.5" or 11.85" 1LE rotor with built in hub then no. You have to use a 14" C6 Z06 rotor with this bracket.

If you use a HD (1LE) hub and 3/8 bracket you will be able to fit a normal hex head lower spindle bolt which is what I prefer because you can then safety wire it.

I mocked this setup up with a standard hub because I do not have an extra HD (1LE) hub laying around. It is possible to use a standard hub with this bracket but it is a extremely tight fit. To use a standard hub you will have to make the bracket out of 1/4 or 5/16 inch steal. 1/4 is too thin for my liking but will probably be fine. With either thickness you will have to use a button head bolt. If you use a 5/16 bracket and standard hub you will have to mill down the button head bolt to about 0.2" to clear the caliper and may have to use a rotor shim.

It is just easier to fit everything in when you use a HD 1LE hub.

Oh my bad i didnt explain it well. What i meant to say was, that would i need a 1LE hub instead of a normal hub and i have 14" 5th gen rotor?

The 2010+ Camaro rotors will not work, they have too large of a offset and the rotor register diameter (the opening that slides over the hub) is too small.

Oh ok thanks i was aware of the center for the hub, I was gonna get that bored but is there any way to fix the offset on them to install them or is the one way to fix it by buying c6 z06 rotors? Sorry for all the questions just that this is gonna be my next mod and wanna get the info i need.

If you bore out the hub register you may be able to get it to fit with a 1LE hub. You will definitely have to use a button head bolt and may have to go down to a 5/16 inch thick bracket. But unless you have access to a machine shop for free it would be cheaper to buy Z06 Rotors.

In my case, it's not the hub that's the issue. With the Racecraft spindles and Ed's bracket, one of the caliper bolts interferes with the spindle casting if you use a regular hex bolt. I was just curious if your bracket clocked the caliper differently to avoid that. It makes it a pain to get the caliper off.

Oh alright thanks for the advice ima just sell them and look for some z06 rotors would you happen to have measurements for the rear brembo calipers?

I do not think this bracket will work on racecraft drop spindles. I have been meaning to email them and see if I can get some measurements so I can draw up some more brackets. The spindle and caliper mounting holes on the CTS-V bracket are actually in the exact same location as my LS1 bracket and that I am pretty sure does not work on racecraft spindles so this bracket will not also.


I have not messed with the rear brake setups much. I have a dana 44 rear which uses bolt in axles so it if I design brackets off that they may not have the correct offset for standard 10 bolt rears. Also they may be a little different to accommodate the bolt in axle flange. Plus my car is in storage for sometime so I would have to have a extra 10-bolt laying around to make rear brackets. Maybe one day.
