Brake Progess Pics
Thought I'd post two pics that I find interesting. One is the bracket that holds the PBR calipers in place on my Borg Warner rear end. I drilled out the six spot welds to remove the dust shield and then painted the bracket. Anyone know a reason why I shouldn't have done that? I'd think it'd be good for cooling and my car will almost never see rain. The other picture is of my new Baer Decelarotor rear rotors. The only other company that I've ever heard of making rear rotors for the Borg Warner rear end is SSBC and their rotors are slotted only. If anyone is interested, I'll be happy to reply with the details on where to buy them and how much they were. As for the remaining part of my brake system, I have Spohn's big brake kit and 1LE spec proportioning valve and master cylinder. All opinions and comments are welcome.

Yikes! After about two years, my brakes are finally done. I still don't know if I got the correct master cylinder to go with my 13" big brake kit, though. Is there a way to tell based on the diameter of the piston? I got it out a disk/drum car, so I hope it's correct. I also powdercoated and rebuilt the PBRs in the rear. I hope it'll work well when I finally get the car running again. Anyone know if there are parts (bushings, springs, etc.) available for the pedal itself? It feels loose to me.

Raybestos makes D/S and slotted only rotors for that application as well. All rear discs were the same size from '89-92 regardless of which rear they went on, only difference is in the backing plates. Nice work though, you should like your results.

Thanks, coming from you that means a lot. You are definitely the man when it comes to brakes. I think I wasn't clear, though. I meant can a person tell which master cylinder he has based on the diameter of the master cylinder piston.
