1LE frt. brake noise
I've got an annoying noise(chirp, squeak) you can hear with every revolution on my frt. 1 LE setup which i believe i was told this is a C4 setup with a floating caliper. It does not have dust shields so no rubbing there.Anybody have a suggestion. I've used the stuff on the back of the pads, also as soon as you touch the pedal it goes away.

Bearings usually make a continuous screeching sound not just a mere chirp/revolution.
Even if you can’t do brake work, just pull the wheel(s), then the hub cap(s), and make sure there’s grease in there.
The reason you’re hearing a chirp/revolution might be the brake pad wear indicator(s).

Re: 1LE frt. brake noise
I should mention that this setup was put on last fall and has about 1000 miles on it . It was "new" when installed by myself as a complete unit, unbolt the knuckle and remove complete old and then install . It definitely has grease in the wheel bearing. I work in a GM collision repair shop and have had hundreds of brakes apart and never had this noise, however I'm not experienced in the floating caliper design. I'm not sure if i should disassemble and apply disc brake synthetic lubricant on the metal parts and back of pads. The reason because it was assembled and ready to go when purchased so it should be correct, right. so why the annoying noise and like i said tap the pedal and it goes away.
