That looks great. Would love details on how you made it. I have my 13" Wilwoods I made on the front of my car, and need more pressure to my rear LS1's to balance out the braking.

Yes it is a lot of pressure, but any increase I can get to the rears will hopefully help the situation.
Did you measure the difference in pressure to the rears after you did your modification? I'm curious to see how much it raised your pressure.

Re: Custom bolt in adjustable proportioning valve
alloy,do a search on gutting the valve, that is what i did to mine and it increased the rear pressure dramatically.
i've been out of the game quite a few years but just pulled the cover off my formula and will be driving next week.

Re: Custom bolt in adjustable proportioning valve
I've done the searching and already have a adj. prop valve setup with a gutted valve mocked up with my spare 4th gen master, but this seems like a much cleaner more elegant setup to me. And since I'm a machinist it wouldn't take much for me to write a small program and make the parts on my turning center.
For now I'm waiting to do all this at the same time I put my ford 9" in. Just have to finish getting the LS1 rear disks adapted to the ford housing. I need to make one spacer on the lathe and that will be done. I'm also considering putting my spare set of superlites II's on the rear. Just have to program up a bracket and zip it out on my mill.

I am interested in this too. I will need to adjust the rear bias but I didnt want to have to cut/flare stainless lines.

Re: Custom bolt in adjustable proportioning valve
Get a pressure gauge you can screw in the rear caliper. you will find out that you have 600 to 700 psi max and to get the rear LS1's working on par with your Wilwood fronts you will need about 1100 to 1200 psi to the rear.
500 psi is a lot to leave on the table.

I'm not sure Jerry is going to answer us. Been a month now since I asked a question of him.

Re: Custom bolt in adjustable proportioning valve
I don't plan on making them for anyone but me. It's a whole lot easier to make the parts on my CNC verses my manual lathe.
I have a wilwood prop valve but thought yours was a much nicer design. I'll go with the wilwood valve and you can keep your design private.
And the edit was for a typo.
And don't feel alone, I designed the first wilwood 13" brake system and was selling them to Spohn before they got copied.

Re: Custom bolt in adjustable proportioning valve
Any ideas on the pressures I should be seeing at the calipers for LS1 rear discs and C5 front discs while using stock master and booster? Just curious what you guys have run so i can be sure i'm getting the best braking for my car.

JERRYWHO, do you not read your PM's? I was wondering more information about what you did here. I would like to do something like this too but am not sure if you made custom parts or not to get the Wilwood valve in the stock prop valve
