Car: 1990 camaro rs
Engine: 305 tbi
Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: 2.73
upgrading to 4th gen brakes
So i may be getting a donor car - 95' v6 camaro and it has a 3.08 disc rear to my knowledge. I'd like to put it in my '90 rs. I know i need the conversion lines will I also need a different prop. valve? also where can I get an e-brake swap kit?

you shouldnt need to replace any of the hardlines. jsut use the ones off the doner axle as they are and hook them right up to your stock flex hose.
only thing you need are the conversion cables, hawks and flynbye have them. i have both, i liked flynbye's better, they are a little longer.
use a 1le prop valve, or plumb in a adjustable setup

If you get the rear with the ebrake cables attached, you can connect YOUR cables to the new axle's cables with stainless cable connectors available for a few bucks at Home Depot. Saves a ton of cash, and works fine - mine's been like this 4 years now with no issues at all.
On the prop valve - some swap some don't. If you don't, what could happen is with a stomping hard braking, the rears may lock up before the fronts. But that is desired (to me) - if the rears lock I still have steering! So it's up to you - you could see what happens without a rear disc valve, and decide after the install of the rear.
I'm not sure on the LT1 rears (pre-1998), but the LS1 rears (1998+) you must have 16" wheels to accomodate the larger rotor.

Well I will have a set of rims to put on the back in case my rims dont fit, what if my current E-brake doesn't work? if the other does can I swap out the whole thing or what?

I have a 1990 that used to have a drum 3.08 rear in it. I swapped it to a LT1 rear with disc brakes. I used Dorman C94264 for my ebrake cables and they fit perfectly.

Out of curiosity, does your 90 have the tunnel-mounted adjustment piece? I ask because "apparently" cables for 89+ have two designs: the first design (1434 mm which has the adjuster and which is the one I believe you're using) and the second design (1460 mm and which doesn't require the adjuster).

At first I bought the "second design" cables DORMAN C94597, but found that the holes that attach to the caliper levers were slightly too small, the length of cable between the caliper side and the body clip was too short, and the total length of the cables was too long. I was pissed that day lol.

I don't believe it has an adjustment in the tunnel, but I could be wrong. The equalizer is pretty rusted up and I might not have noticed it. I tried to find a pic of what I have, but I could only find a pic of something that I don't have - https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/atta...e-adjuster.jpg

ok I got the donor car today and it ended up having drum brakes but their not rusted to ****, I was told they're a 3.23 lsd but ill have to check that tomorrow, will this make the swap easier now?
