hard pedal but everything checks ok
As it says. The booster doesnt leak the check valve and hoses are good. I get roughly 18 inches of vacuum to the booster. The master cylinder is good and the brakes have been bled. Still have a hard pedal and difficulty stopping. The only thing I noticed is when the E-brake handle is all the way down the brake light is on but if I pull it up a little it will go off. Will adjusting the ebrake solve my problems? Also I used a 4th gen booster with a thirdgen MC they fit together fine so im assuming that isnt my problem. Oh one more thing I did a rear end swap from a 2.73 open diff with drums to a 3.23 posi with drums. so the prop valve shouldnt have to be changed i believe. I'm honeslty thinking maybe the rear drums are not adjusted correctly leading the rears to start braking before the fronts or vise versa leading to a hard pedal. I dont know I'm not a brake guy i just like to

Sounds like brake booster is not working. Rear drums out of adjustment give more/soft pedal travel.

It sounds like a booster problem. Don't know much about the 4th gen boosters but would think that 4th gen and the 3rd gen boosters are different even though the parts might fit or if the boosters look or the same. Not forsure on this though. If you have a 3rd gen booster, try swapping it out and see if that fixes it. Wouldn't hurt and if it doesn't work, then the problem is else where.

I had the same problem with my stock system. After I swapped to LS1 front, S-10 rear, LS master, and astro hydroboost I still have a hard pedal (not as hard, but not as soft as myother cars) but the thing stops on a dime.
I am guessing it is a booster issue as well.
