Baer ss4 rear E-brake issue

I am currently installing the 12" ss4 baer kit on my new S60 rear end. I can't figure out why the rotor doesn't fit over the E-brake shoe they provided. If you look in the picture below, the shoe just fits inside the rotor when its in the relaxed state. Once installed on the actuator the shoe is slightly expanded and unless I were to use a mallet there is no way to get the rotor on. What am I doing wrong here. The adjuster seems to be turned all the way in but there is no way this should be this tight right?

Re: Baer ss4 rear E-brake issue

When you permanently install the park brake hat on the backing plate you need to make sure the hat is clipped into the clip that is mounted on the backing plate

And also my SS4+ kit was tight on the inner rotor as well till you get some kilometer on it

The shoe was in the clip and the shoe was centered to the axle. Its like the brake material is too thick

I figured out the issue last night. The lever has a tendency to want to pull back towards the boot. This placed the "cup" on the end of the lever on top of the edge of the adjuster side. As a result when you dropped the pill in and then the sliding piston it prevented the piston from seating all the way down. It wasn't much of a height difference, maybe a 1/16", but it was all the difference. By pushing the lever to the center of the bore and then assembling the actuator, everything went together with no problem. The brake shoe is still grazing the inside of the rotor, but that's how it should be
