Are you choosing to get rid of the car for finacial reasons due to the upcoming wedding or is she making you get rid of the car???? If she says the car must go, rethink this one bud. She is trying to change you and eventually you will end up in divorce court, so don't bother. I had a girlfriend that threw a fit when I bought my 2002 Z28 back because it was my ex-wifes daily driver for 3 years - I kicked her to the curb the same day!!! Find yourself one that loves the car too.

For serious.
A person you love should always be more important than any car, toy, etc. But if she is making you get rid of the car just because she thinks you should be rolling in something more her style, like a civic, then its definately gut check time.

Car: 1986 Firebird / 1985 Trans-Am
Engine: 305 4BBL / 383 4BBL++
Transmission: 700R4 / 700R4
Axle/Gears: ?.?? / 3.47
Love and understanding have to flow both ways.
If she claims that if you love her, you would do this for her, the reverse arguement would also hold true.
i.e. If she loves you, then she will understand what you enjoy.
I can't even count how many times I have heard married guys say, that they really kick themselves for getting rid of such or such car, when they got married. If they knew then what they know now, they would of just took it off the road for a bit, instead of selling.
I told my current wife before we got married that my hobby car always stays. If times get tuff, then it goes into storage for a bit, but selling it is not an option. Very few women understand why guys like their cars so much. And very few straight men can truely understand why a woman needs 50 pairs of shoes. But were not supposed to understand, we are supposed to except the differences and enjoy.
Good luck selling it if that is really what you want to do.

Car: I've had 4 thrid gens!!
Engine: Someday again I will have another!!
One day your driving a Grand National, the next your driving a Iroc-z. Not that, that is a bad thing.
At one point in time I had the GN, '98 fully loaded Regal and a '88 Trans Am. Now I have a Kia, Mini-Van, and the Iroc-z. Must say I do love the Iroc-z though.
Does she like cars?
