Hello, everyone. I haven't posted much on this forum, but I am always in and out. I have a 88 Iroc vert, which I am selling. The reason I am selling is because I don't use the car at all, and I have 3 other cars. My goal is to sell all but one and just settle down with a corvette or something similar.
I purchased the iroc early last year. its Black with a grey interior(previous owner switched seats), The mileage is around 105k. The previous owner had the car for about 9 years. He like me rarely used the car and only put about 3500 miles in the 9 years he owned the car.I put about 1000 miles on the car at most. I installed brand new general tires with about 200 miles on them. It has 4th gen Camaro SS wheels and 4th gen rear end. The previous owner dropped in a rebuilt 350 with a ACCEL superram intake, the motor has about 4500 miles. The trans was rebuild with a shift kit, it also has a B&M ratchet shifter, the trans has about 1700 miles on it. The cat is gutted, and has a flowmaster muffler(exhaust is really loud, scares the neighbors). I changed all the headlights and bulbs in the fogs. The car has a minor dent on the front drivers fender. You can easily pop it out. The rear driver and passenger quarter panels have deep scratches, with light surface rust on the passenger side. The top works fine, with no leaks from the top, but will need mouldings on the side window parts. I will post pics this weekend. I hope someone can purchase the car and enjoy it, instead of just sitting in my backyard. I am asking $7000.00 and I am negotiable. The best way to contact me is by email, bxsvx01@aol.com. Thank you.
Mods are as follows:
fully rebuilt corvette L98 engine w/ aluminum heads,24lbs injectors,Accel Superram,B&M 2400 Stall converter,Edelbrock coated Headers,Dynomax cat-back sytem,160 Therm,1998 LS1 4th Gen rear w/3.23 gears,2000 ss 10 spoke 17x9 wheels. B&M ratchet shifter. Mods total over $7000.00
I think $3k is about the right range for it. I got mine and paid $7k for it but it was way to much after I actually got it and it was in way better condition and it is a 20th anniversary edition. mechanically yours is in better shape than mine was but for verts looks are almost everything.
I bought my 88 IROC vert for $4,500 and it too was in better condition. Like an earlier poster stated looks are everything with a vert sale. The scratches and fender dent really pull down your asking price. For $7 or even $6,000 grand most people don't want to do body work (at least during summertime). I think if you bring it down a bit it will go but then again it will depend on supply and demand. If someone is really looking for a vert they may pay the higher price. I just think right now your car is between $3,000 and $4,000. Just my opinon and best of luck with the sale.

86-I understand what your stating and thank you. The power train is complete and modified it will NEVER need anything in that area. Ya, it has scratches and carpets not up to par, but lets say I fix all that then I can easily start charging way over 10g, doesn't it then quite balance out?
not really just like everything else it is worth what someone is willing to give for it. right now is kind of a crappy time still to sell a third gen nice or not it is still the same normally the ones with $10k+ to spend are still going with vettes. My opinion though take it however you want and good luck with a sale.
