So what do you guys think of my system ?
I was snapping pics of my car and I thought I'd show you guys what I have. Cheap Rockwood 12's.... MTX 81000D... and a 600Watt American Pro 4 channel amp. A Sony M720 deck powers it all.

That looks like a box for a Silverado. I've seen them advertised and always wondered if they'd work.
Is that what it is?
EDIT: Opps... Sorry. The reason I ask is 'cause I like. Looks good.
The subs aren't TOO bad. The nice thing is if you blow 'em, you're not out a lot of money.

Yeah those subs are the only ****ty part of the system. They sure do pound for being so cheap. They got some HUGE magnets on them, so that sure helps. Anyway.. I was asking my friends what the best 12 would be and they all recommend the HX2's, W3s or W7s. What do you guys think ? What sounds better ?

the W3s are outstanding. My buddy has 2 in his Cherokee, only 180 watts to each and they shake the whole car! the box faces outward and if you stand in front of them, you can feel your eardrums vibrate.... Also, Alpine Type Rs or Eclipse Titaniums.....

I bought this box from a friend. I dont know the measurements but I guess I could take it apart and measure it ? Probably not...
Definetly not a truck box though.
Anyway.. the cheap Rockwoods blew while playing some of the last "subwoofer test" tunes on a Bass Mechanik CD. I put in some Pioneers for now. I believe they're the 304, 600Watt 12" model. I also added a one farad cap. Sounds much better now and my light dont dim as much anymore
