eh, on a generous day i'd give you 250, the amp is maybe $50, i hate cv, but generic subs are around 65 a peice and the cap can't be worth much over 80 brand new....

Uh....

If you try to sell them to anybody that knows anything about car audio, you're not going to get much. The amp isn't worth much, and those subs are NOT designed to work in that kind of box. Anybody that knows audio and is familiar with Cerwin Vega probably won't pay much because he knows that he'll have to build a different box.

Vega subs are designed to operate in a large ported box, not a small sealed box.

Your best bet is to sell everything individually, not as a package.

well im thinking either dont sell it or go individually, i know the amp is like a noname, but it really works, like really good....

cerwin vegas are known to sound best in ported boxes yes, but ive had this setup for over a year, and it is by far one of the loudest stereos ive heard..... so it may be incorrect no name brand stuff, but it is really loud, i might be best off just not selling it ... doesnt look like i can get anything near what i paid...

Did you expect to? If you can get 50% of what you paid, you're doing DAMN good. I'll never pay 50% of new prices on used car audio equipment.

Brian

ive had this setup for over a year.... but my amp blew up and took the subs with it, but i have everything under warranty... so everything was replaced brand new, and i have only used it for 2 months..

on another note, i have been checking prices and stuff, i can get at least 500$ selling all this stuff on ebay individually... so that is what im going to do if i have to, the subs go for almost 200$ each for the pair... the box will go for 150-200..... the cap goes for 45-55... the amp is the only thing that is not well known..... and if i got 50 bucks for it... then id have 500$ total... so if anyone is interested in any of this at those prices let me know... im not stupid and wont sell it for cheap... but to a fellow thirdgen owner i can cut a deal

You might get that much for the cap and mabye the amp.

But $200 for those subs is kinda insane, same with the box, why would people buy a used one when for that pruce they can get a brand new box?

check on ebay yourself... the subs go for almost 200$ for the pair... taking the fact that they are 2 months old... and i ahve a 4 year warranty that goes with them, it will go for near the same price...

the box is lined with dynomat and custom insulation... which adds another 30-40... and there is nothing wrong with it, a box doenst get USED, it sits in the trunk and doesnt move... there is nothing used about it , it looks much nicer then any of the ones on ebay

If you find the "right" buyer then yes you will get what you want. But as stated above, it is hard to get more than 50% of your money back on used stereo equipment. If I was in the market for 2 12" CVs I would pay more for yours than some that are 2 years old. If you are going to sell them on ebay you will probably get less than 200 though. Most people wont even bother to looking at 2 used speakers(even if they come with a 4 year warranty) They will want new speakers. I think you will be better off trying to sell them in the local paper, so people can hear them and get them the same day. That would be to your advantage. If others are like me they will want to get them right then and not want to wait for an auction to end and then to ship. Just something to think about.

I have one of those amps in the garage. They're trash. Worst amp I've ever used. Subs... I'll agree and say 65 -75 each, and the caps are going for about 100 new, if I remember right. I have the same one.

As for the box, I just built one pretty much identical to that for less than 30 bucks. Lined and everything.

That setup there used to have two of the MTX subs... I can't find a picture anywhere. That amplifier fried both. I ran my farenheits on it for about a day, and decided that the clipping I could hear the amp causing wasn't a good idea.

Just my two cents. I've got about 1000 into my entire stereo, and if I tried to sell it, I'd be surprised if I could get 400 for it. From my experience, a lot of people don't mind buying used caps or amps, but used subs.... may as well forget getting anything near what they're actually worth.

I totally agree with this, letting people hear the stuff on the spot can really do wonders. I think it really helped when I sold My old system, about $400 worth of stuff, all ebay stuff...some of it used. I ended up getting $350 for it all because they really liked the way it sounded. I would put a local ad in the paper like this.

Audio Equipment
2 Subs, Amp, Box
+more $ 400 xxx-xxxx

Mabye see if you get any bites

I have to disagree. A box does get "used". Especially if you mounted those subs with drywall screws like I see so many people do. Taking those out and screwing them back in just ruins the top of a box. I can't really tell from the pic but I don't see any bolt heads holding those subs down.
