How do you Unlock a GM cd player?
I just bought it on ebay, it played for a few seconds and stoped.
It says lock on the display, what do I do? I installed it in my 2002 s10 the cd player is from a 2002 cavalier. Its the same unit just has a cd player.
I email the person who sold it to me, but havent had a reply.
Sorry this isnt thirdgen realted but i thought you guys would know how to get this thing unlocked.
Please help!

I think the only way you can get it unlocked is by Going to a GM Dealership and Having them Unlock ir for you, I think they have to use a Computer to generate a Code or something to Unlock it, I'm pretty sure thats the only way you can do it

Yes dealer. Two codes need to be extracted from the radio. Then we call into Delco, they give us the unlock code for the combination of your two codes. Takes about five minutes. Take it to the dealer you do bussiness with and they will probably do it for free if they know you. Flip them a ten spot if they don't charge, and write down your code and the sequence to unlock in case it happens again.
