say this again, ... in slower steps...
1- Your Rear speakers seem to be broken,
Right?
2- A intelligent lad like yourself pops off the rear panels to take a closer look, All Looks connected So far
Right?
3- You then hook the Red and Black Speaker Wire to the Deck? Correct?
4- they still dont work
Do your front speakers work? if so it sounds like the settings on your radio deck are a little messed up.... Crack open your radio manual and find out how to select Balance.... If what i think is right, the balance should be all the way to the front, or "F", you want to put the little selecter right in the middle so both speakers work.
good luck

check around the front speakers. anything wrong up front and the rear speakers won't work. i ran into this problem with my '91 rs a few years ago.

check that your speakers are not shorting to ground by touching the chassis or a frayed insulation in the speaker'swires.oh and by the way to the smartass that said something about the balance, its the fader not the balance.

heres an easy way to see if your speakers are blown. take a 9V battery and connect it with gator wires. then touch the two points were the speaker wires connect to the speaker on the back. you should hear some static and the speaker should move a little. if you get static, you know it isn't the speakers that are the problem.

im guessing they anrnt connected to the deck or the sterio rears are burnt out.
What kind of sterio do you have???
take the sterio out and make sure your rears are connected...also you can use a little speaker right at the sterio to test if theres sound coming out of your sterio.
