Setup for a 87 Trans AM
hey, I'm buying new speakers next week, and it seems alot of people are recommending infinitys up front. I work at bestbuy so i had a few chances to play around with the infinitys. For the back do you think i should stick with component speakers or switch over to 6x9's. Which would be better for bass? Because I'm trying to stear clear of an amp and subs.
If i end up going the 6x9 way. I also listened to some Alpine S-Types and they seemed pretty damn good for a 6x9.
One more question, whats everyones opinion on audiobahn?

The Alpine type S are pretty good, but I prefer a nice set of 6.5" components for midbass and overall clarity.
And from my experiences, all low level Audiobahn products are pretty much all show and no go.

the infinity 4x6 plates would be good for the front... but look into some rockford fosgate 6x9's i didn't really think they would sound to great but they are good for the money... but i would rather change the 6x9's with some 6's or 6.5's... you can get 5.25 in the dash... look into some pioneer revs those are good and cheap

audiobahn blows! Go to www.ampguts.com to see what the amplifier internals look like before you buy. You can spot quality/junk rom looking inside the amp. That site has a good majority of amps in there. Take a peek before you buy!

I work at Best Buy also, use our employee accomidation and get the Kappa Series. Worth it. For front 4x6 and rear 6x9 for Kappa's it only set me back about a $100.
