Theftlock radio help

Okay. Looking at a theftlock CD radio on ebay right now. Has 2 hours left. The seller only has the serial and model number on the back of the radio. Has no idea what year and make it came from. I have no idea if the theftlock is on and neither does the seller.
Is there a way to disable this or find out the codes even if I dont know the vin, year, or make of the car? I dont want to waste my money or something thats locked up and I cant unlock

Need advice. The auctions ending in a couple hours

Yes you can find out the code if its locked. There is an old thread on this board.I used it recently when I got a delco cd player at the junkyard that was locked.I followed the instructions and within 5 minutes I had it unlocked and working perfectly.Just do a search

Re: Theftlock radio help

Does this still work? I called the number and punched in the first 2 steps and then it asked me for the 6 digit display code so I assume that it may still work? I read on a few forums that they may change the number every now and then

Re: Theftlock radio help

There is a website that tells you how to disable theftlock on a car if you don't know the code. Problem is, I have it bookmarked on my laptop. If i can get that running on my home wireless network I'll hop on and post the link up.

I have a Monsoon (w/ theftlock) out of a 2000 SS thats waiting to go into my car but theftlock isn't enabled so I don't have to worry about it (hopefully).
