Replacement Amp

Short version, I'm looking for recommendations for a close to drop in upgrade for my alpine ktp-445u amp:
http://www.alpine-usa.com/product/view/ktp-445u

If anyone is wondering about a truly compact 4 channel amp, this thing is great, and in most cars it would be fine. I just want more clean power but I don't want to spend big $$$ or go that big (though 2x the size of this thing would be fine)

Longer version, I would be very happy with the sound of my sound setup if I never drove the car, but since it's a bit closer to "race car" than most street cars, missing some interior panels and deadening, when you start it up, roll down the windows... it just doesn't have the power to keep up. I could (and probably will eventually) add a little bit of deadening and some more of the interior back in, which will make it better, but it seems like "more power" is a more appropriate solution to the problem.

Currently it's simple, light and almost effective:
- old pioneer head (nothing special, but I have the matching bus interface ipod adapter as well an aux input)
- Polk 4x6 front speakers, I'm _really_ surprised how much I like these, I've tried a few others over the years and have always been disappointed, I was ready to build all sorts of stuff, modify the dash structure/ducting... and ran across these with a display model discount at best buy dirt cheap and love them, I feel like 4 of these and a small sub would make most people thrilled
- custom made plates for the sail panel holding some 8" subs and a set of tweeters (toward the end of: https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/car-...mple-good.html )
- the little 4 channel alpine amp using the 2 sets of RCA’s from the head- front has the high pass filter setup (although I can do it at the head unit too), the rear is set up about half the time as just a set of rear speakers, typically with “front image enhancement” turned on, and the other half the time just as subs, typically with an 80 hz crossover (though at times I fidget with lower or higher, lower seems to sound cleaner, higher hits harder). Setup as subs it sounds better, but as rear speakers it’s louder. Right now since the front and rear speakers should be able to handle more power, I figure just a better performing sub might be the answer.
