Howdy there, I have a small Rockford Fosgate amp mounted underneath the driver's seat, running my 4x6 and 6x9 speakers, it works okay. Other than that I had a custom made box in my rear storage for another small amp and my cd changer, I took that amp out a while ago though. Two ideas for you, just remember they have to be able to cool off decent, as in air circulates around them enough to keep them from overheating. By the way, under the passenger seat won't work because the floor pan raises up there to clear the Cat/converter. That's why under the driver's seat, non power seat also, no wires to worry about. Take care now.

inside the "glove box" in your hatch area is good if you want it hidden or if not what i did before i built my amp rack was having it mounted to the back of the back seat...

yeah its safe to mount it there.. just use really short screws and be super super carefull when drilling, the gas tank is under there.. tho you could even build a makeshift amprack with just a board cut to fit snugly between both inner fender covers, slap some carpet on it, then just screw the amp to the board.. if it fits snug enough you wont have any problems with it moving on ya...

Or you could do like I did, and a lot of folks are starting to do, ( for me it's because it's a work in progress ) Just buy a couple lenghts of velcro and stick it to your amp, then it'll stick to the carpet and you'll be set!

The one thing you must take into consideration if you put your amp in the left-rear storage area is will it have enough air circulating around it to keep it cool. I had a small amp and my cd changer in there so I wasn't in any trouble, but any kind of a bigger amp with more of a load on it and the heat becomes a problem. Under the seat like mine is now isn't much better, but I'm not done yet.

I'm trying to find some velcro that will stick to the carpet for my CD changer, to keep it from sliding under my seat too far. I have bought a couple different pieces, but none seem to do the trick.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!

The "hook" side of the velcro should stick to the carpet real good. A couple years ago, I used 2 2" wide strips along the length of my J-J-J-Jensen amp and it stuck so well I had to jam a screwdriver under it to get it up.

Yup! After my stereo got stolen and I was **** broke, it was all I could afford. A Jensen 4040HLX 4 channel amp. I used it for quite a while until I bought my Kicker stuff, then it went into the second car until it kicked. I replaced it with a 30x4 pioneer that cost $50 more and sounded much better.
