How do I adjust float level?

On a 650DP, spreadbore.

If it's like most holleys...You need a plain screwdriver and a 5/8(I think) wrench. Start the car. Remove the sight plug on the side of the fuel bowl. If fuel comes gushing out put the plug back in and adjust the float level down. To adjust the level, loosen the screw on top of the carb, turn the nut with the wrench clockwise to lower the float, turn the nut counter-clockwise to raise the float. The tighten the screw. A good float level is just high enough that if you shake the car a bit, some gas will spill out of the sight plug on the side of the carb.

What he said. You'll notice when you loosen the top screw, gas will spil out. it's a bit of a skill to keep it just tight enough to stop leaks...and still being able to turn the nut...but you'll get the hang of it
