holley 600 cfm vac. sec.
Ok this is my problem:the carb has only 2,000miles but when i smash the pedal to the floor the car runs flat, has no power! it takes a lot to run 0-60mph ,i've already checked a lot of stuff like spark plugs gap, wires, distrubutor ,mixture
Could be the accelerator pump?
CAn some one out there tell me how to fix it up?
THANK YOU

ciao amico,
one thing i'm sure, just look at the intake of your carb (all power OFF) move the acceleration lever and if you dont see fuel going thru the 2 inyectors on the primary then that's your problem, (the acceleration pump) also next time you start your car get someone else to do it and you see from behind if it smokes and very important which colour, (black for TOO MUCH gas, blue for oil burning and white for coolant burning)
probably you know this already but just in case. if you need something feel free to e-mail me.
bonjorno amico, piano piano.

third gen muscle power is the only thing that can match the power of flight...

Even if it's not working at all the worst you'll get is a big bog when you first nail it- it might even stall. But if it's a prolonged bog where the engine never seems to "find it's legs" then it's not an accelerator pump problem.

I saw some fuel going in to the 2 injectors but i don't know in what amount.
No smoke even with hard acceleration, compression pressure is perfect.
It has alittle bit of powerat about 3,500 rpm but its very far from what its should have.
I' ve also checked the ignition timing with the label and it's fine.
i'm desperate!

First, you don't have injectors--thats for fuel injection. It's a venturi.
Has this carb ever worked correctly on this engine? Sounds like a lack of fuel. Is the front and back float level correct? How is the fuel pressure when you feel the bog?

Custom 3 inch single into 2 2.5 pipes. 1 1/2 drop springs, 1 5/16 solid front sway bar, 1 inch rear bar, custom subframe connectors, custom LCA relocation brackets. Kobel ground FX, current red metallic paint. Lots of other stuff...

I don't know if the float level is correct 'cause when my carb was carburated i had an exhaust with only one exit, now i have a super tirbo muffler with two exits on the opposite side.
What should i do to check the float level?

To check the float level pull the screw out on the side of the full bowl with the car running and look to see where the full level is. The fuel level should be right on the verdge of spilling out of the sight plug. Check bolth front and back and post what you see.

Well , SSC you said that i've to remove the screw from the sight plug and if the float level is correct the fuel should spilling out? is that wat you meant?
If it's so how do i change the floats level?
THANKS

i had a serious power problem on a car i used to own, pretty soon the problem was odvious when the catalytic converter caught fire. it was plugging up and eventually completely plugged, i kept fouling out spark plugs too, but this was a rotary engine, but its an idea
