When you change a TPI to a carb is it as easy as just taking off the TPI set up and putting a manifold and carb on? What can you still use and what do you have to take off. I would like to be able to put a TPI back on just in case I move to a state with strict emissions laws. I can put a tpi on for the test and when it passes put the carb back on.

I switched mine from TPI to carb. Its not as easy as pulling the TPI stuff off, and putting carb stuff on. At least it wan't for me. I pulled my computer and the harness out of the car. This meant, I had to redo my fans, and fuel relays. While reworking my fuel relay, I decided to skip the oil pressure switch, and put in a mech. gauge. I would imagine if you kept the computer, and harness in the car, you could switch back fairly easy, once you got it to run with the carb. I did mine with the thought I would not be going back. Someone else here might know more about what is needed.
