And i've spent a lot of my time looking things up for you...I don't mind helping people out. But I do not like having to repeat information that has already been given out. That is a waste of MY valuable time.
We talked about how to check the mechanical advance thoroughly earlier in this thread. Scottland also noted how you had the mechanical advance cam installed upside down and we both noted that it looked like you had too light of springs installed. Then you come back with " and do you think my mechanical advance is screwed up? " Like I said how the heck should we know...you're there.....we're not!! Check it.
I'm a bit Ticked because of that comment and also the fact that I spent over an hour...of MY valuable time (just before getting ready for a MAJOR Pro Race ).. downloading PDF documents from Crane showing wiring diagrams for your Crane HI6...and pointing out what page for YOU to look at.
So that's what I meant by taking the initiative. You've got the info...you've got a good head on your shoulders ( at least hopefully ) so use it.

I don't mean to interupt your thread, but have you replaced the spark plugs? I might have missed that due to the extremely large content of reading. I know you have said you have cleaned your plugs, but after they get broke down, you can't clean them completely, even with the sand blaster. A bad plug can make it girgle or pop out of the exhaust if it's missing.

Don't forget to use new gaskets every time you take the float bowls and metering blocks off. Actually, you might get away with re-using them once if they are the blue or black non-stick gaskets and you are carefull when you disassemble things.

I have found that by spraying the gaskets with baking Pam (not the stuff with flour in it - the original) I can reuse the gaskets numerous times. Just a tidbit that works for me and saves money.
