New Carb - Demon or Quickfuel?

Hi there,

in the next weeks, i'm going to buy a new carb and yank out the old holley (thrown together from 3 different carbs...).

i'm looking mainly into one of these 3 carbs

- 650 Speed Demon

- 650 Quickfuel, down-leg boosters

- 650 Quickfuel, annular boosters

Going 650cfm with electric choke, which one of these would be the best for me? downleg or annular boosters? qf or demon?

do i need a new fuel line for the qf carb because of the 4500 style fuel bowls or can i use my old one from the 4150 holley?

thanks,
nebu

I wouldn't buy demon anything Too much casting flash left inside carbs when they leave the factory. I haven't run an annular booster carb on a motor as small as a 305, so I can't tell you if that would be a good thing or not.

Re: New Carb - Demon or Quickfuel?

Im in the same boat, wanting to ditch my Edel 1411 for a quickfuel, Holley HP, or mighty demon. If i have the cash, im going with the holley HP.

Don't buy the demon i hate my speed demon. I almost miss the Edelbrock that I used to have on it.

I searched around and found out most do hate the BG stuff. Sucks cus they look cool, and almost like they should function.

I ended up getting a 82751 Holley HP DP off ebay new for like 440shipped. Im excited to get it on, and the edelbrock off

I would not rule out a custom carb from Pro-System. They are deadly and consistent. I have had one for the last 2 years, plus his customer service is the best.... Call him anytime he will call you back...

Don't buy a new Demon, get a good used one if you're set on that.
