Air Cleaner Fitting Question

I plan on buying a K&N X-Stream air cleaner assembly to go with my new carb setup (from TBI). I bought a fuel regulator bracket that attaches to the carb and have an Aeromotive Universal VAFPR on it. The regulator sticks up a ways more than other regulators and I'm afraid it will interfere with a new air cleaner. K&N has different style bases, but I don't know what the bottoms are shaped like. The adjustment rod sticks up 1 inch above the carb base, and about 6 inches away from the center of the carb. I could go with an 11-inch setup, but I think it looks a little funny.

Anyone have any pics, measurements, or comments?

The Xtreme lid will just sit in the hood blanket. Unless you have a cowl hood, they don't help any.

It'd be better to move the regulator away from the carb so you can fit a proper drop-base air cleaner.
