Intake+Carb clearance?

Intake+Carb clearance?
Searched this and went through a few threads, couldn't find anything relevant.
I'm looking into buying an Edelbrock RPM Air Gap and Holley 750 DP. Will there be clearance problems with the stock hood? Is anyone running this combo? Mainly worried about the added height with the Air Gap intake.
Thanks

Re: Intake+Carb clearance?
I have the RPM intake and believe me, it does not fit.
I've read that it does, but there is no way in hell it does for me (stock hood).
If you don't have the CC carb, which you don't but I do, you can use the old Corvette drop base. They are a 2 inch drop and will work fantastically.

Re: Intake+Carb clearance?
Air gap and 750 Demon fits fine under my stock IROC hood (1990). You need the L88 drop base (reproduction), a 3" filter and flatten the lid a little. The L88 drop base does hit the HEI, so you need to "adjust" it a little. I have about 1/2" clearance at the front of the lid.
